Wild Honey Records – WH069 - Now that the pandemic years made their obession with Twix bars even harder, garage punk agitators and gabber nutters Yonic South return with ‘DEVO Challenge Cup’, a new EP released by Wild Honey Records (Bee Bee Sea, Movie Star Junkies, Radioactivity etc..). the Italian five-piece, comprised of members of Bee Bee Sea and Miss Chain & The Broken Heels, keep playing a crude and boisterous brand of smash & grab garage punk laced with heady hits of psych and grinding bursts of noise. The record is a tribute to DEVO and is a sort of 13-minute medley divided into 6 tracks containing: a drum solo, a cover of "The Girl U Want”, a short mention at Blink 182, the Citroen Picasso (used as tour van) and video-games extravaganza (Need For Speed, Guitar Hero, Super Mario and Tetris are just some of the easter eggs)
